For years, the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving has supported Sunrise Northeast by providing funding for our summer camp program for people with disabilities. Even at the onset of the pandemic, the Foundation generously supported our efforts to provide a virtual camp experience to over 150 enthusiastic campers in the safety of their homes.

ABLE accounts, also known as Achieving a Better Life Experience accounts, are a relatively new financial tool that can benefit people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). These accounts were created to provide a tax-advantaged savings option for people with disabilities.
