After Hurricane Michael carved its destructive path through the Florida panhandle, many of our own employees were left without a home or their belongings. It is a painfully difficult and traumatic experience to be in, a situation not many can relate to.
However, in Miami a few people who experienced Hurricane Andrew knew exactly the sort of difficulties our Sunrise staff was facing and were eager to help in any manner that they could. Cristina Villars, an attorney for Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer as well as their Intake Specialist, Pennylane Ingram, led a donation drive to collect the sort of necessities families affected by the storm would likely need.
Their caring efforts as well as the giving nature exhibited by their colleagues resulted in a collection of assorted goods and supplies weighing over 152 pounds in just a few short days. We are truly grateful for the generous and empathetic spirit our neighbors just down the road from NHQ demonstrated for people they have never met.
From all of us at Sunrise, thank you QPWB for the loving kindness that you have shown to our Tallahassee and Panama City family!
