Fox49 TV In Tallahassee Invites UCP LifeLinks Into the Newsroom
At Fox49, TV personalities and producers welcomed UCP Lifelinks into the studio and shared what a typical day might be like for a general assignment reporter. The visit offered program participants a real life glimpse into the broadcasting industry including a tour of the evening newsroom and a talk with on-air professionals. Hometown stars from Lifelinks team took turns being the “talent” (actor), the director, camera operator, and audio operator while others wanted the spotlight all to themselves. Everyone took turns rotating through until he/she found a point of interest during the tour. Many thanks to Fox49 in Tallahassee!

Summertime Gardening in Greeneville
Therapeutic Gardening has blossomed throughout the Sunrise System. Our first raised beds for seasonal planting sprouted up in Thomasville, Georgia. The green-thumb epidemic quickly spread to Tallahassee, Florida. And despite the summer heat, dedicated gardeners with disabilities in Greeneville, Tennessee are transforming their front yard flower beds into serene landscapes. Sunrise’s group home residents take pride in the transformation of their home environment where they exercise their independence and work towards common goals. Kudos to Greeneville for getting their GREEN on!
