Compliance Announces the Winners of the 2016 Rap Battle & Mannequin Challenge

Sunrise’s Third Annual Compliance Rap Battle featured the latest trend, the Mannequin Challenge. The Mannequin Challenge is a viral Internet video sensation where people “freeze” like mannequins while a moving camera films them from various angles. Usually the video plays with the song "Black Beatles" by Rae Sremmurd in the background. As with years past, competition from across the Sunrise system was fierce! And while Sunrise’s elusive Mar-yonce did not make an appearance at the Awards Ceremony. MC Extraordinaire, Gee Z closed out the event with a nail-biting Season 3 conclusion to “Entire,” the series. CONGRATS TO ALL SUNRISE TEAMS!!!

Sunrise Appreciates Esserman International's Generosity On #GivingTuesday

After watching the progress of the #GivingTuesday movement since its inception in 2012, Sunrise decided to go “all out” in 2016 and we kicked off 15 local initiatives across five of our seven states. Projects ranged from an Early Literacy Library in the Greater Tampa Bay area to sensory integration rooms and assistive technology as well as funds for warm winter clothes for Eastern Tennessee. Unfortunately, fires in the Great Smoky Mountains interrupted three projects in Tennessee on Tuesday as we re-directed efforts to support victims of the natural disaster. That is when Esserman International in Miami swept in with an unexpected donation to Sunrise! Thanks to Esserman's generosity and an online campaign, Sunrise received funds to help with emergency funding. On behalf of all those we serve, our deepest appreciate to Esserman International.

And So It Begins.... Compliance Week 2016!

And aspiring rappers from large cities, small towns, villages and the like, with their hands gripped tight on the mic, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without auto-tune. It came without bass. It came without fly-girls, a crew or a mask on the face. They puzzled and puzzled 'till the rappers' puzzlers were sore. Then the Sunrise rappers thought of something they hadn't before. What if Compliance Week, they thought, doesn't come from a hook. What if Compliance Week, perhaps, is more than a cool look. So, they wrote and they wrote and they wrote lyric all day "To Provide, To Protect & To Prevent" is the Sunrise way.
