Although Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month is only recognized in March, take it upon yourself to raise awareness every day!

Jennifer Tissot is the newest Executive Director for Sunrise in South Carolina. We asked Jennifer to share a little bit about herself, read more to find out what she had to say.

From the onset of the pandemic, safety efforts across the organization have been plentiful. The availability of the COVID-19 vaccine makes it possible to take our efforts a step further and has brought new hope for health and wellness. We are always looking for ways to strongly encourage all Sunrise employees to get the vaccine. At one of our locations Dan Childs, Behavioral Specialist, felt compelled to further emphasize the importance of getting vaccinated.

As more folks than ever turn to digital entertainment for holiday cheer, representation on screen is crucial. Lifetime (TV network) made television history this December by casting Ali Stroker as the network’s first lead actor with a disability.

Thanks to our incredible supporters, Give Miami Day 2020 was a rousing success unlike any from the years before!
