On Friday, October 14th, Board Chair Steve Weinger and I attended the 35th Annual Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Miami Chapter Endowment Fund Luncheon. At the luncheon, a member of the Sunrise Board of Directors, Connie Crowther, was honored with the Bill Adams Lifetime Achievement Award. The Bill Adams Lifetime Achievement Award is given to a PRSA member with 20 years of experience in the public relations profession, demonstrating support and dedication toward advancing their profession and representing the ethical characteristic the Award exemplifies.
Connie is a public relations executive, writer, and entrepreneur/consultant with more than 50 years of experience in journalism and communications. Connie has also been on the Sunrise Board of Directors for over 20 years, has been a major supporter of Zach Wray, President and CEO, and the organization, and is very committed to the Sunrise mission of “creating valued lives for people with disabilities.” She even gave a shout-out to Sunrise during her awards acceptance speech. We could not be more excited for Connie to receive this well-deserved lifetime achievement award.
