Our doulas also provide emotional and informational support to the mothers up to six months following their delivery. Studies have shown that when a doula attends a birth, labors are shorter with fewer complications, babies are healthier, and they breastfeed more easily. Doulas do not provide medical care or advice. Rather, they provide support and information on such topics as pre-natal care, breast feeding, mother-infant bonding and postnatal care.
