Thanks for Attending our 2018 Spring Art Show!

By Niles Dookie on April 3, 2018

We can happily say that the Spring Art show this past Saturday, March 31st, was a rousing success. Many came to the Eureka Adult Day Training center to enjoy the unique and colorful pieces of original artwork created by some of our extremely talented artists and beautifully curated by Sunrise Community’s Art Instructor, Esmeilyn Tejeda.

In fact, our guests enjoyed the artwork so much, that we sold 14 art pieces! The raffle sold well too, allowing one lucky winner to take home a John Bauer original.

We started the evening off with refreshments and light music, allowing visitors the time to truly appreciate the amount of effort and creative vision that went into each piece. Many of our artists were also present and enthusiastically described their influences and methods.

Later on, pop artist John Bauer, began working on his latest cartoon creation inspired by the popular “Overwatch” video game. Be sure to check out a brief clip of his process here!

Those of us present enjoyed the time spent with the artists, members of the Sunrise team, and everyone else from within the community. If you'd like to see more of the pieces that were on display, be sure to check out our Facebook page.

Thank you for joining us Saturday evening and stay tuned for our next planned community event!
